AnyJ Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 18, 2026 (Version 1.0)
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, date of birth, bio, photos, location (city/region), interests, and any content you post (vibes, messages, events, business listings, campaigns, dating profile). We also collect device information (OS version, app version, device identifier), usage data (screens viewed, interactions), approximate IP-derived location, and crash reports.
If you use Find friends, the app hashes the phone numbers and email addresses in your contacts on your device and sends only those hashes to check which of your contacts already use AnyJ. We do not store your address book and we do not message your contacts.
When you buy from a business on AnyJ we collect the delivery name, phone number and address you enter and share them with that seller, and with the courier when one is assigned, so the order can be fulfilled.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and personalize the service; match you with people, events, communities, businesses, and campaigns in your region; enable payments for tickets, subscriptions, donations, and point top-ups; send you transactional and marketing communications (you may opt out of marketing); moderate content and enforce our Terms; comply with legal obligations; detect and prevent fraud.
3. Sharing With Third Parties
We share information with service providers who help us operate: Stripe (payments), LiveKit (voice/video), AWS (storage, streaming, IVS), Firebase/FCM (Android push), Apple Push Notification service (iOS push), Sentry (crash reporting), Meilisearch (search), and Google/Apple sign-in. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
4. Public Content
Profiles, vibes, public posts, events you organize, business listings, campaigns, and community activity are visible to other users by default. You can change visibility in Privacy Settings. Dating profiles are only shown to eligible users in the dating feature.
5. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored on servers operated by our infrastructure providers. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest where supported. Passwords are hashed. Access is restricted to authorized personnel. No method is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we anonymize your profile within 30 days and delete associated data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax/accounting).
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and data, export your data in a machine-readable format, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Use Settings, then Privacy, in the app to exercise these rights, or contact support@anyj.app. See also how to delete your account.
8. Children's Privacy
AnyJ is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). The dating feature requires users to be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Location Data
We use approximate location derived from your profile region and, with your permission, from your device, to show nearby events, businesses, campaigns, and dating profiles. We show distance as a fuzzed band (e.g., "within 10 km") rather than an exact point. You can disable location in your device settings at any time.
10. Cookies and Tracking
AnyJ is primarily a mobile app and uses standard device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting. We do not use advertising trackers. On iOS we respect App Tracking Transparency; on Android we respect Advertising ID opt-out.
11. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and European Union. We use appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable).
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by in-app notice or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact Us
AnyJ is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [COMPANY REGISTERED ADDRESS], which is the controller of your personal data.
